Show and tell

I had another shoot this weekend that took me to the coast. This time to Caladesi Island State Park just north of Clearwater Beach, FL. A spectacular beach that is actually rated by Dr. Stephen Leatherman as the number one beach in the nation for 2008.

Aimee and the kids didn't come along for this one, but we'll certainly return soon to spend the day as a family.

I had a magazine assignment last Saturday in Bradenton, FL. So, I took the whole family to help out. After the shoot we made our way a little further south to a dive eatery. Cortez Kitchen is wedged into the northern edge of Sarasota Bay. The popular wooden shack is snuggled tightly by racks of traps, mangroves and tested and tired fishing vessels of an abundant sort.

After enjoying perfectly fresh seafood caught that day in the "Kitchen" as Sarasota Bay is known, we decided to see the sunset through the thick clouds and rain of Hurricane Fey.

The kids enjoyed the water and it only took a few moments for Gus to have his little feet taken out from underneath him by retreating water. Once the small wave uncovered him, he lumbered upright and asked for more.

Due to his bold adventures, Gus soon found himself naked on a public bench and clad, unhappily, in Louisa's shirt.
