Louisa gets a big bed

We set up a new (old) bed yesterday for Louisa. She enjoyed the process of moving furniture around and jumping and climbing on everything as we worked. Louisa is a self proclaimed "hopper" and enjoys imitating all of the frogs, one of which is in the house at the moment, and grasshoppers that inhabit our yard.

A few hours past before I could get her settled down enough to take a nap in her new bed. Oddly enough, she went right to sleep as the drywall crew arrived to work in a room just down the hall. She slept soundly for about two hours, but had to be watched constantly due her sleep tumbling habits.

The night routine was as rough as the daytime routine. She wouldn't go to sleep! At 11:30 Aimee came into Louisa's room and asked if she wanted to sleep in her "baby" bed. Louisa slowly nodded and climbed toward her crib. Aimee covered me up in the big bed and Louisa went right to sleep in her crib. We slept until 7:30 and woke up at about the same time in eqaul states of confusion with only crib rails and a stuffed stegosaurous between us.

Louisa's First Circus

I recognized a man at the grocery store, but couldn't quite figure out how I knew him. Just as he was walking away from the cashier I realized he was a clown from the Moscow State Circus. A year ago I photographed the circus when it came to the USF Sun Dome and spent a few hours back stage getting to know the moslty Russian and Eastern European cast--the acrobatic team consisted four women from Kazkahstan.

As Koko Kramer walked past me I stopped him and reintroduced myself and asked if he was preforming in the area. With Coco Puffs in hand, Koko invited me back and offered tickets for the family. Aimee stayed home to study and clean, an honest attempt to avoid statistics, and Louisa and I went to the circus.

Louisa was in awe as we entered on to the floor from backstage as the performance was about to get underway. It was too loud for her, but she really enjoyed it and keeps saying "cown" and "me like it" when asked about it. Her first bites of cotton candy really made her light up as well. Several times she loosened her grip on my shoulders and hopped down to jump up and down and clap as performers twirled through the air. If her climbing skills continue to improve, she may very well be in the circus someday.

A few more of Louisa. Here she is sleeping in her arm chair in the living room after watching a Wiggles Christmas DVD.

Carleen's Fix-Louisa Photos

I received a call tonight from Grandma Carleen requesting her "fix" of photos of Louisa. With some poking and a dash of guilt I can be motivated to keep this blog active; not up to date but active.

So here are a few images from our trip to Disney over the weekend.

Bun in the oven

A few photos of Aimee in Morocco--Epcot Center. Is it becoming obvious that she is due in January? The 4th to be exact.

New Table--New Hat

Louisa received a beautiful picnic table and benches made by her Uncle Bob. She loves it!!!! It really is a wonderful piece of furniture making.

During her first breakfast by the pool she decided to wear a special hat--thankfully the diaper was fresh from the drawer.
