Sunday was Louisa's second ballet recital. She was great!

Mommy is home!

After two long weeks in Manila, and what seemed like a year here at home in Tampa, Aimee is finally back. The kids were beyond excited!

Louisa made a sign to welcome her home and held it with great anticipation at the airport. Dressed as a princess. And Gus pointed, grunted, and nearly pulled her boob right out of her shirt on the front porch wearing a smile like candy. That picture you can't see.

Throughout this ordeal, I learned to spell Manila correctly (that's Manila, not Manilla) and witnessed my children turn into monkey like beings (that's monkey, with a tail) in a week's time. And back. And now truly believes grandparents are gods.

Ups and Downs

Louisa is now in swim lessons four nights a week and Gus is exploring the entire house. From bottom to top. Unfortunately, anti-climbing classes aren't offered at the same time as swimming.

And Louisa fell down on the front walk.

Non Pool Party

We're having our pool "remodeled" and as a result, we have to beat these early, hot summer days with water play in the yard. So Louisa, Gus and I spent some time in the backyard with the hose. All went well until Louisa sprayed the camera.

Field Work

Aimee is in Manilla (Philippines) for a few weeks doing research. She called today to let us know she arrived safely after more than 24 hours of air travel.






















We miss her more than she understands!
