Easter Photos & Videos

Here is a small collection of some of the photos from today. The kids had a blast searching for the their baskets and eggs out in the backyard. Gus was entertaining when he decided he was sad and showed his sad face. He cheered up though when he opened his big boy pants and tried them on his head.

Happy Easter!!!

Ok, OK, fine, I'll do it.

(via email)

Ryan,

Really. You need to do something with that blog. It's embarrassing. Put a picture up - any picture. Of your feet. Of kitty. Of some dog poop. Change is necessary. I'm telling you this as your friend - who cares about you. No more magazines until I see some change, damnit!

Oh, anything good for dinner tonight? ;)

Kate

------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, just shy of 7am I relinquished the last few remaining square inches of bed space to Louisa and Aimee, and began raking the leaves in the backyard, picking fruit, cleaning the pool, watering the lawn, sweeping the patio and pool deck, helping the kids with breakfast, fixing the vacuum, retrieving a ball from the roof, breaking up a few small arguments of who threw dirt on whom, squeezing in a few minutes of studying for my comprehensive exams, and trimming the biggest, thorniest bush we have...then I found the email from Kate with a call for action.

Fine! And here it is:

Louisa and Gus (who as of a few days ago insists on being called "Auggie" rather than Gus) now attend the same daycare. We're so thrilled about it and are extra thankful that it saves us about 30 minutes each day when dropping them off and picking them up. They're wearing matching jackets and carrying their new lunch boxes. I bought Louisa the jacket and when I gave it to her, Gus, I mean Auggie, ran over and said, "Where my?" So I hopped right back in the car to buy another one.

Gus is the one on the right in case you can't tell. :) They both need a haircut.

Louisa had her ballet recital today. She was perfect and cute as ever. Video wasn't allowed though. And here are a few from Gus too.

Florida Snow--The Video

Louisa and Gus get creative while Mommy and Daddy do grad school home work. With the styrofoam from a packaged Santa, and not enough supervision, they make it snow in Florida--in the house of course.

Halloween

Sorry for the long delay!!!!

We had another exciting Halloween this year. Anne-Catherine, the Eden's exchange student from Belgium (in 1989!), and her family joined us for trick-or-treating festivities. Anne-Catherine painted all the faces: Louisa was a prairie girl (costume made by Gramma Carleen in the 1970s when Little House on the Prairie and Hollie Hobbie were in their heyday); Gus was a 1970's clown (costume also from the 70's, made by Gramma); Alice was a witch (dress and cape compliments of Gramma); and Sebastien was a pirate (vest from India and the rest from Belgium). Anne-Catherine painted Philippe's Indian face, and Alice painted Anne-Catherine's butterfly face. They got lots of compliments, and lots of candy! And Gus was so enthused with his candy that he ate lots of it with the wrapper on.
