Windows

Here are a few photos from when we were getting new windows and one of Gus climbing as he usually does. It is a relief to not have the old jalousie windows now that it is hot as hell and hurricane season. We thought we might get a chance to test them out, but Fay came ashore much further south than expected.

Now we just have to get rid of the bad blue trim, but hopefully a hurricane won't do that for us.

Cycling-For the first time

We've had a break in the weather. The afternoon rains and intense thunderstorms have finally permitted us time to get Louisa and Gus out to try out their bikes. Louisa's is new and was a gift from Mimi. Gus' bike on the other hand, was purloined in a mid-afternoon drizzle from the eager neighbor that puts his rubbish by the curb a full day in advance of the truck, which typically bothers me.

Waiting for dinner on a June Evening

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

"Go on and....

get your bath," said Aimee to Gus. So, he did.

She was thinking I was there with Louisa, when in fact I had an ADD moment and was around the corner organizing an underwear drawer.

Olympic Fever

Louisa watching, and participating, in the women's bike race this morning. In her bathing suit no less, so maybe she was getting ready for a triathlon.

Holy crap, I'm 3&

Louisa had a fun time preparing for my birthday while I was away for most of the weekend at an amazing photojournalism conference in St. Pete, FL. So, I'll share some of her artwork with you and a photo of me holding her the day after she was born. It is one of my favorites (probably b/c its about the only one I have since I'm always the one holding the camera). But, Louisa has a camera now, so we'll shoot pictures of each other.
